Horizon Line (2020) Review

A couple on single engine plane find themselves fighting to keep the plane in the air when their pilot suffers a fatal heart attack.

Horizon Line offers plenty of tension and although outlandish, it's a high concept idea that keeps you watching. Director Mikael Marcimain offers storms, altitude sickness and fuel problems to name a few. The special effects are impressive and the score adds to the set pieces as the couple carry out daredevil feats to keep the plane in the air.

The acting from the two leads Allison Williams and Alexander Dreymon is solid enough in this what can go wrong, will go wrong yarn, Kieth David's extended cameo is welcomed. While it boasts from the creators of ‘10 Cloverfield Lane’ and ‘The Shallows,’ it's debatably not as grounded or as good as either, still it's a thrilling enough survival story to keep you entertained.

Overall, it does what it says on the tin plane.
